A big word of congratulations to Italo, who gave a splendid speech at the Toastmasters International Speech Contest that was held at the District level this past weekend as part of the Toastmasters 2013 Spring Conference “T8 Summit” held in Montebello.

We are also proud of other members of our division who also ranked well in other contests such as the French Table Topics contest, the English Table Topics contest, and the French speech contest.  More to follow shortly…

Congratulations to Christian Turianskyj and Nicholas Kepper, who both came in 1st place in the Toastmasters District 61 Division F Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contests.

Christian won the French evaluation contest, while Nicholas won the English evaluation contest. They will proudly be representing our club at the District contests, which will take place at the Toastmasters District 61 Fall Conference 2012, aka “ROCK YOUR WORLD” in mid-November.

The fall conference will also feature workshops and special guest speakers like Jim Key, World Champion Public Speaking 2003, who will be keynote speaker.  Find out more and register for the Fall Conference by going directly to the website.

The area contest this year took place at our own St. Lawrence Toastmasters club on October 9, 2012.
