We recently had two members join our St-Lawrence Toastmasters Club in Montreal.  John and Pier-Luc both started visiting our club roughly around the same time, and they each quickly came to see that Toastmasters could help them reach their goals.

As John mentions, “The main reason I joined Toastmasters is to  break down the wall of fear which presents itself whenever I have to speak in front of several people, to be more confident, and at ease.  I’ve been to 3 meetings and am enjoying the atmosphere, the talks, and my fellow toastmasters, they are all wonderful people. I am already looking forward to the next meeting!”

Dear members and Toastmasters friends,

Can you believe that our club is already 65 years old?  As a matter of fact, the St. Lawrence Toastmasters Club is the oldest Toastmasters club east of Windsor, Ontario.  We like to playfully boast that since we are the oldest club, then naturally we are the most experienced club as well

To celebrate our 65th anniversary, we will have a special evening on Saturday November 23, 2013 at the Restaurant L’Ambroisie.  Be sure to reserve early as we only have a 70-person maximum capacity!

We recently welcomed a new member to our Toastmasters club in Montreal.  Margaret discovered Toastmasters at the suggestion of her radio producer who mentioned it in one of their conversations.

Since Margaret wants to share and inspire her audience with modern and ancient techniques for living life to its fullest at any age, she feels that Toastmasters will provide her the necessary skills to be able to effectively communicate with ease and grace, and to present in a manner that will be simple to understand and easy to remember.
