A big word of congratulations to Italo, who gave a splendid speech at the Toastmasters International Speech Contest that was held at the District level this past weekend as part of the Toastmasters 2013 Spring Conference “T8 Summit” held in Montebello.

We are also proud of other members of our division who also ranked well in other contests such as the French Table Topics contest, the English Table Topics contest, and the French speech contest.  More to follow shortly…

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new members Lisa W and Lisa Y.  They have both visited us on a few occasions, and enjoyed their experience.  For 2013, they gave themselves a new year’s resolution to finally take the plunge and join the St-Lawrence Toastmasters Club in Montreal in order to fully partake in the Toastmasters programme.

Are you interested in knowing more about Toastmasters and how it can help you communicate more effectively in public and become a stronger leader?  Feel free to join us at one of our Tuesday evening meetings.

First of all, the St. Lawrence Toastmasters Club would like to wish you a wonderful 2013!

Some of you may have given yourselves some goals (aka “New year’s resolutions”), such as:

• improving your ability to speak in public
• learning to organise your speech more effectively
• find out how to become a better leader
