Here is something new that we’d like to put in place for our web site: a summary for the evening, so that our members and guests can keep up to date with our Toastmasters club activities.

This week, the “reporter of the evening” was Mathieu Savage, who writes the following.

Another great evening at St. Lawrence!

The October 5 meeting was full of emotions.

Among other things, we had three memorable speeches.

Rebecca Rodrigues shared with us her experience with many types of air transport: Chinook, Ultra Light, Boeing, Helicopter, etc.

Then Lisa Chandler took us by surprise and shared with us some most wonderful news in a very special speech entitled “Creating a meaningful life”.  Congratulations Lisa!

Finally, Chantal Lamontagne made us laugh with her speech “L’ennemi du piéton”. Chantal will participate in the Montreal Area 53 Toastmasters humourous speech contest on Friday October 8 (replacing Charles Cron who will unfortunately not be available).

I also want to mention the high-caliber evaluations we had tonight by Adrian Thorogood (in French, congratulations!), Italo Magni and Marise Chabot. Finally, the grammarian of the evening, Jacques Lamontagne, pointed out many good uses (and some misses) of both the English and French language.

Thank you all for this awesome evening.
