Il me fait plaisir de vous faire suivre les résultats des concours de la conférence d’automne 2013 du District 61, tenue ce week-end au Château Bromont lors d’un événement magnifiquement organisé et dirigé de mains de maîtres par une grande équipe de volontaires! Bravo et merci à eux pour les concours, les ateliers, les conférenciers, et les événements sociaux! WOW!

Below are the results for the top 3 for each of the contests.  I am VERY proud of our fellow Division F Toastmasters Vinay Nawani and Louis-Simon Poulin, who placed in the top 3 for the English Speech Evaluation contest and the French Humorous Speech contest respectively! Congratulations! Félicitations!

Vinay Nawani also participated in the English Humorous Speech contest and did a great job with his speech. Finalement, Martina Kugler nous a fièrement représenté dans le concours d’évaluation de discours en français avec une brillante analyse et de très bonnes recommendations pour l’orateur cible. Dans ces deux concours, la compétition était simplement très forte cette année! Bravo tout-de-même pour vos belles performances!

Je tiens de plus à souligner que notre collègue de division F, Alain Cliche, a aussi participé au concours d’évaluation en français, mais sous la bannière de la division H, pour son second club d’attache. Ceci dit, il a obtenu la seconde place dans ce concours et démontré une fois de place sa grande habileté à évaluer des discours et sa maîtrise de la langue de Molière!  Bravo Alain!

Lastly, I want to give a special wave of congratulations to my friend Allan Wong, DTM, who received the prestigious award of Division Governor of the year for 2012-2013, for his amazing work with Division F, which included starting up two new clubs and attaining the status of President’s Distinguished Division – a great achievement!

The entire event was a tremendous success and I hope that everyone who attended felt the same. I want to congratulate each of the participants – you all did a wonderful job and I hope you will all participate in the Spring contests, for which the District Conference will be held in Château Montebello, from April 25 to April 27th, 2014.
