We are a bilingual club!
Located in downtown Montreal, St-Lawrence Toastmasters is a bilingual club. All meetings are held in both English and French.

We like to ask our new members to give us a quick overview of some of the goals they have given themselves or some of the reasons they have decided to join Toastmasters.  We’ll publish the texts from Victoria and Ilana shortly.

Voici le programme de la réunion Toastmasters du 11 avril 2017.

We would like to wish a warm welcome to our new member Ellie, who joins the St-Lawrence Toastmasters Club in Montreal after having visited on a few occasions.

Pier-Luc (VP Education) welcomes Ellie

We’ve made it a habit at our club to ask new members to share with us some of the reasons that persuaded them to join Toastmasters. Here is what Ellie has to say:

“Toastmasters is an ideal environment to get comfortable being outside my comfort zone. This is where growth happens! I also have ambitions of working with people and giving speeches so I know Toastmasters will give me the confidence and skills I need to do so.”

Would you like to know more about how Toastmasters can help you be comfortable outside of your comfort zone?  Come visit us!  Here is the agenda for the meeting of April 4, 2017.

Congratulations to our members who competed and did amazingly well as the Division F contests.

Jessica-Ruth Racine won first place for the French International Speech Contest.

Charles Deschênes won first place for the French Table Topics Contest.

Pietro di Benedetto came in a close second for the English International Speech Contest.

For the English Table Topics contest, unfortunately there was one disqualification due to timing.  We believe that Alex Chan went overtime by literally just a couple of seconds, or otherwise he would have surely been at the podium as well.  Best of luck next time around!
