One of our members shared an interesting slideshow that he came across on tips to presenting effectively. (Although the beginning of the slideshow seems to be more like a sales pitch to buy the book, we nonetheless felt there was useful content in the rest of the slides.)
Here are some of the main points that we found interesting:
- Have a story to tell
- Add pictures or images to your presentation.
- Use fewer, simpler words.
- More pictures make a presentation easier to remember.
- Dress up numbers. (You’ll know what this means at Slide 40.)
- Practice body language and vocal tone.
- Practice as much as you can.
- Have fun!
